The Making Star Wars site has unveiled new features on Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It is learned that the character embodied by Laura Dern would be called Amiral Holdo, at least that is the name used by the production. However, the actress would wear a dress far from what one would expect from an admiral, namely a long mauve dress with a short cape and pink curly hair, dressed like a boy. A look opposite to that of Leia, who became General of the Resistance in The Reveil of Force, whose demeanor was more austere.

In this eighth episode directed by Rian Johnson, the Resistance would be divided by tensions between Admiral Holdo and Poe Dameron, interpreted by Oscar Isaac. The latter, still at the wheel of his X-Wing equipped with new faster engines, directs the rest of the Resistance fleet that tries to escape that of the First Order. He would always be accompanied by his faithful companion BB-8. We would also see other units BB of the Resistance but with the old and rusty look.

If the arrival of Laura Dern seems to create discord within the Resistance, its arrival is not only negative since it brings with it new powerful ships. Their design would recall that of the Transport of Assault at low altitude seen in the Attack of the Clones. They would be seen attacking the Mega Destroyer of the Supreme Snoke Leader. The code name for these devices is “Honey Droppers”.

The trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is expected for the end of the week at the Star Wars Celebration, should give a first glimpse of the actress of Jurassic Park. Laura Dern will be back in May with David Lynch for the highly anticipated Twin Peaks Season 3, and will be featured on the upcoming release of Some Ladies and the Big Little Lies series alongside Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.
